2007 Irene Diamond Summer Institute - Mexico and Bali
This summer, more than 100 children from New York City and across the United States, along with 6 children from Bali, Indonesia participated in the Irene Diamond Summer Institute. The children received free training in ballet, jazz, tap and music, and helped develop Mexican-inspired choreography that will be a part of the NDI’s 2008 Event of the Year: Volando á México (Flying to Mexico).
NDI also welcomed teachers from the NDI-inspired program Aprender con Danza (Learning Through Dance) in Mexico City. (Photos below) The professional dancers and musicians came to observe and learn NDI teaching methods.
