In celebration of NDI's 50th Anniversary, NDI's "Runs & Leaps Extravaganza” will be held in Central Park on Tuesday, July 28th (the birthday of NDI Founder Jacques d'Amboise)! Show your support for the importance that arts education plays in all our lives. Invite your friends and family and leap to your spot on the stage—it's your moment to shine!
No experience is required - you'll learn everything you need to know in a short rehearsal upon arrival!

Runs & Leaps Extravaganza!

Central Park | Naumberg Bandshell
Help us show the world that the arts are essential in Central Park at the Naumberg Bandshell on Tuesday, July 28th, rain or shine! Under the Artistic Direction of Kay Gayner and Christopher d'Amboise, NDI Teaching Artists will guide current dancers, alumni, supporters, and friends of NDI as they “run and leap” across this iconic New York City site. Check-in begins at 10 am, the performance starts at noon, and the event concludes at 1:30 pm.
During the event, participants will perform an excerpt from a well-loved piece of NDI's repertoire - all accompanied by NDI's live band under the Music Direction of Yakir Ben Hur.
Through “Runs & Leaps” every person gets their singular moment in the spotlight to shine and express themselves to the fullest.
