PBS News Hour: Struggling Schools Benefit from Adding Art to Learning
Traci Straus, NDI's Artistic Associate, appears in the segment of PBS Newshour tonight on the federal Turnaround Arts Program. NDI's Artistic Director Ellen Weinstein, Traci and Music Director Jerry Korman were asked to lead children in this program in Minnesota in 2016.

Good Morning America: NDI Children and Will Smith (Video)
NDI joined two other youth organizations on the set of "Good Morning America" on December 12, 2016 to help promote Will Smith's new film "Collateral Beauty". The film is about "finding your why" and one student from each organization spoke to their "why" and how their respective group has impacted them.

"After a composite of d'Amboise's charismatic dancing was shown, Jacques regaled us with stories. He didn't talk about dancing for Mr. B, he didn't talk about his dazzling turns in the movie Carousel, or how dashing he looked in the emerald green shirt in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He talked about Tanaquil Le Clerq in Jerome Robbins' Afternoon of a Faun (1953)—a tiny clip of it was in the montage that DFA showed in tribute to him."
