Liza Gennaro

choreographed the revival of Once Upon a Mattress starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of The Most Happy Fella. Off-Broadway she choreographed Roundabout Theater Company’s, Tin Pan Alley. Regional theater credits include work with the About Face Theater in Chicago, Actor’s Theatre Of Louisville, The Old Globe in California, Hartford Stage, Guthrie Theater, The Goodspeed Opera House, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, the Paper Mill Playhouse and twelve consecutive seasons of musicals at The St. Louis “Muny” Opera. She choreographed the 30th Anniversary tour of Annie which toured the US and Canada. In 2005, Ms. Gennaro began interviewing influential musical theatre dancers and choreographers for the oral history division of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center Library. Ms. Gennaro teaches at Barnard College and holds a master’s degree in Dance Studies from New York University.
