It
has long been the dream of Founder
Jacques d'Amboise and Artistic Director Ellen Weinstein to find a permanent home for NDI and to
establish the Center for Learning
and the Arts. NDI is now poised to make this dream a reality with the
purchase and build-out of 18,000 square feet of space in Harlem's former

NDI will
honor Alec Baldwin, Cisco at Annual Gala
|
|
On April 4, 2011, friends, family
and supporters will gather at the Best
Buy Theater for NDI's Annual Gala, featuring cocktails, dinner and
performances by children of National Dance Institute. The evening
will honor the accomplishments of veteran actor Alec Baldwin, and recognize Cisco's extraordinary advancements in the field of
telecommunications.

NDI advanced
team dancers have had a busy fall, performing November 8 as the opening
act of the star-studded Career
Transitions for Dancers Gala, and returning to exuberant audiences at
their annual Symphony
Space performance November 13, part of the Just Kidding
Series.
NDI
dancers, alumni, and teaching artist Bianca Johnson also returned to the
plaza of CBS News' "The Early
Show," appearing live with weather anchor Lonnie Quinn b efore a
national viewing audience.
